5 Most Epic Moments in The Book of Boba Fett Season 1 Chapter 1

Episode 1 of The Book of Boba Fett retains the amazing quality of the Disney+ batch of Star Wars and by the looks of it a worthy follow-up to The Mandalorian. In this episode, we find out that Boba Fett trying to be the best crime lord he can be by ruling over Tatooine by showing respect instead of the Hutt way of instilling fear. So far, he is learning the hard way that without fear he might not attain any respect. We can only suspect what path Boba will take by the end of the season.

As of now, we have many epic moments to choose from in this first episode. SPOILERS AHEAD.

  1. Boba Fett Escapes the Sarlacc Pit

After a long time of fans wondering how Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc pit, we are finally shown how it happened. It looks like a horror movie, of a guy waking up in some mysterious dark and claustrophobic hole and realizing it is the stomach of a beast and he is slowly being digested. So after all these years of wondering, how did Boba escape the Sarlacc? -- By using his flame thrower and jet pack... Bet you did not see that one coming.

  2. Meet The Majordomo, Representative of the Mayor of Mos Espa

In a ceremony where Boba's underlings are supposed to pay tribute to Boba Fett as a crime lord, one of them is supposed to be the Mayor of Mos Espa, but he did not come, instead, Boba Fett and Fennec are greeted by the Mayor's Majordomo, with a delicious performance by David Pasquesi. In an obvious sign of disrespect, the Mayor did not show up nor did the Majordomo bring any tribute money. Then the Majordomo has the guts to ask tribute money from Boba instead. The meeting ended with no violence towards the Majordomo as graced by Boba Fett, but the Majordomo is so confident in front of his presence as he leaves anyway. David Pasquesi's performance is the kind of insincere high society manners with a sarcastic smile disguising thinly veiled threats that this is the first face in the series we would love to saber.

  3. Boba Fett Blows Up an Assassin

As the real sign that Boba Fett is not instilling any fear as a crime lord, he and Fennec are attacked out in the open in the streets. What follows is a very good action scene where at the beginning, we do not know if Boba and Fennec can legitimately get out of. The real highlight in the scene is when one of the assassins is escaping and Boba shoots him with a missile, obliterating the assassin in an instant as he vanishes in thin air.

  4. The Gamorrean Guards Prove Their Loyalty to Boba Fett

Another highlight in the street fight is that when everything seems dire with Boba and Fennec seemingly dead for sure as the assassins close in on them, Boba Fett's kindness from a scene early where he freed two Gamorrean Guards from torture and slavery paid off. No one should expect that the two Gamorreans would be loyal as Boba is about to die, but they rescue him from death anyway and they are now confirmed trustworthy allies Boba Fett's crime empire. What satisfying side stories do this two have in store for us?

  5. Boba Fett Takes Out a Monster and Earns the Tusken's Respect

The biggest movement in the plot is Boba Fett's journey being with the Sand People after his escape from the Sarlacc. When one of the younglings of the Sand People is being attacked by a monster, Boba Fett is there to the rescue even if he is currently the Sand People's prisoner and slave. The monster is beautifully designed and rendered, looking like a monster straight from Ray Harryhausen's stop motion canon. When Boba Fett killed it and is finally being respected by the Sand People because of it, it is a satisfying ending to an episode arc.
