5. The Grand Inquisitor

While fans have suspected for some time that the Grand Inquisitor from the animated show Star Wars: Rebels would be making an appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi, it's a little odd to see him in live-action, perhaps almost as jarring as Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett.

The Grand Inquisitor is the main antagonist in Star Wars: Rebels, whose job is to hunt and kill all remaining Jedi. He's not the only one, though - Inquisitors are lightsaber-wielding assassins who take their orders from Darth Vader.

To no surprise whatsoever, seeing as Obi-Wan Kenobi is in hiding on Tatooine, and perhaps even moving through the galaxy from time to time, it looks like the Grand Inquisitor will be the main villain in the upcoming live-action show.

4. Reva

The Grand Inquisitor isn't alone in the new trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, as he's joined by Inquisitor Reva, played by Moses Ingram. Reva is a character new to the Star Wars universe, and hasn't even previously been seen in animated form.

In the trailer, we see her seemingly stalking Jedi, perhaps Obi-Wan specifically, in a number of locations. The Inquisitors are not Sith, though, as you may have thought, but they do wield lightsabers, many of which spin like propellers.

Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow and writer Joby Harold previously described Reva as "ruthlessly ambitious", and with Darth Vader, the Grand Inquisitor, and Reva on his trail, it certainly looks like the titular Jedi Knight will have his work cut out for him.

3. A New City Planet

While the city we see throughout the trailer certainly looks like Coruscant, you might be surprised, and perhaps even disappointed, to learn that it isn't. However, it does look like the home of the Old Republic and the Jedi Temple, which still may appear in the show.

With that said, Coruscant isn't the only city planet in the faraway galaxy, with others such as Pantoran and Mandalore being among them. So what planet is actually featured in the new trailer - is it a new planet altogether, never before seen in Star Wars?

Indeed it is! Obi-Wan Kenobi writer Joby Harold confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the planet we see in the trailer is called Daiyu, and has been inspired by Hong Kong. He describes it as having a "graffiti-ridden nightlife", and being "kind of edgy.

We've known for some time that Owen and Beru Lars were set to return in Obi-Wan Kenobi, having appeared in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, with Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse reprising their roles.

We also know that Luke Skywalker's aunt and uncle have a terrible fate ahead of them, as seen in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, in which they're slaughtered by the Empire, but it's great to see them back on the screen, with a good nine years before their time is up.

Exactly what purpose they will play in the upcoming show remains to be seen, but we do see Owen Lars facing the wrath of Reva in the new trailer, who is either looking for Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Luke Skywalker, or both!

Speaking of the young Jedi-to-be, we see a young Luke Skywalker pretending to be a starfighter pilot on the rooftop of his Tatooine home, through the lens of Obi-Wan Kenobi's binocular-like device.

While it certainly seems like we can't have a live-action Star Wars show these days without Luke Skywalker making an appearance, at least it isn't Mark Hamill this time around (we're not sure you can de-age an actor that far back).

Also, Obi-Wan Kenobi is the perfect show for Luke, seeing as the titular Jedi is watching over him from the hills of Tatooine, and has been for 10 years already, and will continue to do so until he's a young man. The question is, how much will Luke feature in the show?
